Biography

Kōzō Kusuba (楠葉 宏三, Kusuba Kōzō, 1947-March 20, 2018) was a Japanese anime screenwriter and director.

Kusuba was born in Uwajima City, Ehime Prefecture. He joined Tokyo Movie in 1971, which he left in 1981 and joined Nippon Animation, where he debuted as director on Fūsen no Doratarō. After that, he was in charge of the mid-to-late works of the World Masterpiece Theater series. He became freelance in 2004 and worked on many storyboards and direction on Doraemon. He passed away on March 20, 2018.
