Hairdresser Annette is pregnant. Before her husband can explain to her why this is upsetting him - he is unable to conceive - he is killed. No wonder Annette just can't connect with the little creature in her womb: the fetus, a potential genius with all the makings of a top athlete, has been implanted and she is only supposed to carry it to term.
